Claude Tribaudeau acquired the Château Mauvinon in 1962, then designed himself the well-known label showing two unicorns. His love for wine was transmitted by his grandfather Gabriel Lauzat who led on his passion to his sons. During 20 years, he is the president of the Union of Saint-Emilion’s producers, the first cooperative in Gironde, and helped improving the expansion of Saint Emilion. When inheriting the domain in 1990, Philippe and Brigitte TRIBAUDEAU decide to elaborate and commercialise their own wine. Great lovers of the familial wine estate, Philippe quit his job as a lawyer in Bordeaux in 1995 to fully devote himself to Château Mauvinon, and Brigitte, who graduated in molecular biology studies, bring out her knowledge and her enthusiasm. Nowadays, it is obvious that Mauvinon will last over time. Their children, wine enthusiasts as well, are working with their parents.
